Biography
Yaria Neemah, (real name Marita Ofori) is a 28-year-old Ghanaian Afropop/Neo-soul artist born and bred in the slums of Nima-Kanda highway. At age 5, Yaria Naeemah always sang to the strums of her father’s guitar who is also a songwriter and a singer. Her love for the arts and entertainment increased exponentially and she found her self in dance troupes, acting, and
modeling.

After junior high school education, while waiting to enroll in senior high school, Yaria Neemah started learning to play the guitar with her father as her tutor. In high school, she was always at the fore of entertainment shows, events, performing on stage in both music, acting, and event MC. Having completed senior high school at a young age of 15, she decided to take music on professionally and started rehearsing with a band while still learning to play the guitar and compose tunes with her younger brother, who is now her sound engineer.
She never got to perform with the band and had to leave due to personal issues. At that point, she was lost on how to go on with music and whom to contact to even record a demo. She eventually ditched music. Her love for children pushed her to study a course in child care and She worked as a Montessori practitioner for 3years.
She found herself back in the entertainment arena when she had the opportunity to study acting at the Ghallywood Film Academy and discovered other different talents in presenting and acting. She fully pursued these talents and landed with presenting and acting jobs. She hosted High Skuul Tv on TV3, worked as a news anchor at First Digital Tv for 2 years, and moved on to host Ghana’s first photo modeling oriented TV show, Photo Icon. This shot her to the limelight and exposed her to the show biz industry.
